   Fokke, in my SeaMonkey News Account, I have it set-up to only show those
   threads where there is a response that I haven't read yet.

   If I wanted, I could set it up to show ALL THE READ THREADS as well as
   all the threads which have unread response in.

   View -> Threads -> All

   Does Thunderbird not have a similar setting .... perhaps under 'Options'
   or something??

   That might get you back to when you started this Profile.
