   I have to agree here. Linux will update quickly whether I am running the   
   latest processor or a computer from 2007. Since most of the applications   
   being run aren't requiring you to compile them, the only thing determining   
   how long it takes is the speed of your Internet connection (and the   
   Ethernet or wifi chip connecting to it).
