Usenet would be a "social *medium*". There's one of it. It's quantum.
   It's countable. It's discrete.

    Okay, not *very* discrete.

It *can* be used that way in English. Damned near *everything* in
English can be verbified. Or even "verbed". It may sometimes sound a
little odd but there isn't a rule against it.

    English doesn't rule out much.

In "being social", the second word is an adjective.

It's like "being wet" or "being cold", both of which I have been too
many times for *far* too long. :) (Cup of tea time ...)

The nice Mr. Man-Wai Chang was telling us that in H.K. one could
"social" with others. Or, maybe, that one could "social" with plants,
   cats and canines?

It's like the English word "socialise". Only they could do it with no
   eyes.

Okay, so that was a little ....... odd?

                                                                   J.
