Whenever I want to uninstall "uncooperative" applications - including
those (like many AV products) which leave behind abandoned "debris", I
use the excellect Revo Uninstaller, which has a perfectly serviceable
free option. I've used it for years now. It runs the built-in
uninstaller, but then runs a scan to see what's left behind, and offers
the option to clear all that out. Warmly recommended.
