   On the road last night my 5th gear totally went out.  Just like I was in   
   neutral.   
      
   Reverse still works (5th and reverse share a shift fork).  Can't figure   
   out why it might fail and everything else still work.  The only other   
   symptom is that there is a slight noise (like meshed gears turning)   
   when the clutch is engaged in neutral.   
      
   Also, all I have is a Haynes manual that doesn't show much.  Anyone know   
   of a source for the factory manaul?
