   Remember the Toyota "door handle"?

A woman was ejected from her boyfriend's Toyota pickup truck, claiming the
door handle was defective. She was suing Toyota for $4M. Toyota settled
   out of court for $1.2M

Problem was her boyfriend was drunk and ran the truck into the old style
post and wire guard rails before the door gave up and popped open.

I wonder how many of these cases are just plain STUPIDITY?
