   The strange and uninformed tend to latch onto the morbid.   
   While head bashing and garroting may well have been a part   
   of the three-fold death associated with human sacrifice, the   
   evidence suggests such rites were almost certainly a rare   
   occurrence.  That ancient Druids may have presided over   
   such rites is merely a sign of the time in which they lived.   
   Go back far enough in almost any culture's history and you're   
   likely to find similar practices.  It is revealing that the only   
   bit of information the uninformed seem to know about   
   Druids is their connection to this ancient practice.  I'm   
   reasonably certain the twenty years of study mentioned   
   by Caesar would have included a few more bits and bobs   
   in the curriculum.
