   Yes, good point, as in Gaeilge leabhair (books) and domhan (world) and   
   amhras (doubt).   
      
   In Gaidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) before or following a,o or u they are   
   pronounced as in "v" in English, e.g. the famous Gaidhlig singer's name   
   Mairi Mhor (Big Mary) is pronounced "Maaree Vor" and the very popular   
   Gaidhlig song Fear a'Bhata (The Boatman) is pronounced "Fare ah Vata".   
      
   Actually, there are many more variants in the lovely spectrum of Gaelic   
   from West Cork to the Isle of Lewis.
