To be honest I will hold my hands up. I am not all that acquainted with
English military history or military history from anywhere else for that
matter. I do though have a keen amateur interest in Scottish history and in
particular I am pretty well up on the history of the Scottish Borders where
I come from. Of course Flodden plays a massive role in the history of the
Borders. Many of the local Common Ridings and Festivals are partly inspired
by the battle. Flodden Field itself is only a short drive away from my town
so I have a bit of a built in advantage when discussing it.
