When I was a child in Argyll, we used to go up the hill for a picnic
at Easter. This involved, inter alia, rolling hard boiled eggs down
the grassy slope. These picnics were called "guilleagan" in Gaelic but
I can find no reference to the term in any Gaelic dictionary. Does
anyone know this term and where it comes from?
