   If it's not limited preview on Google books, it is fully searchable   
   there, and non-searchable PDF download as well.  Furthermore, whether   
   they have a preview or not, they have the find in a library link   
   to OCLC where you can put in your postal code and get the libraries   
   that have it ordered by driving distance.  History of the MacLeods   
   is in at least 23 libraries from U.K. to N.Z., one of them five miles   
   from me.   
      
   Print out the first five, take it to your local library,   
   and ask for an interlibrary loan.  Of course most libraries   
   won't loan genealogies but I've been successful half the times   
   I've tried this.   
      
   And if Google doesn't let you read it, it will still let you search   
   and tell you what pages to turn to.   
      
   Then there's OCR, ...
