   The saved remnant today   
   just as in the centuries before,   
   is not those of a particular denomination   
   or those who have surrendered enough   
   as is so commonly believed today,   
   but rather those who have trusted Christ alone   
   for salvation so that they have eternal life.   
   Many profess faith alone in Christ alone,   
   but few actually have that   
   because Christ has shown only the remnant   
   that he is our Righteous Substitute for salvation   
   so that their trust is on him rather than on themselves.
