The question was asked, "Who is the God of Israel? The God of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob? Scripture, the Old and New Testaments, answers this
question for us. Both Eliyahu and L Perez told us who God is. Although
Eliyahu does not quote from the KJV he still tells who God is by his
description of God in the quotes given and in his quotes from Deut. 10:20,
"in his name" and in Micah 4:5 "we will walk in the name of Y-H-W-H our God"
   .

When we look up the word name in both of these quotes in the Concordance we
   find:

   1) a) name

   b) reputation, fame, glory

   c) the Name (as designation of God)

   d) memorial, monument

L Perez quoted John 17:26 our Lord Jesus Christ was praying to His Father
saying, "And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that
   the love
with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

No one can say that Jesus did not have the same character. His example and
words were pure love for our Father and all men.

When we look up the word name in this quote in the Concordance we find:

   1) name: univ. of proper names

   2) the name is used for everything which the name covers, everything the
thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing,
remembering, the name, i.e. for one's rank, authority, interests, pleasure,
   command, excellences, deeds etc.

   3) persons reckoned up by name

   4) the cause or reason named: on this account, because he suffers as a
   Christian, for this reason

In both the Old and New Testaments of God's Word the character of God is
one and the same. John states it plainly in two different texts.

1Jo 4:8 "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

1Jo 4:16 "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God
is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."

What we should be dwelling on are the questions.Do we think of God in the
same character as our Lord Jesus Christ revealed Him to be? Are we allowing
God to work out our lives so that we have this same character so that we are
truly one with our Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and each other?

In our Lord Jesus Christ's love and service,
