If you refuse to accept God's own testimony (John 1:6-34), then accept
the testimony of your chief priests. They said that they had no king
but Caesar (John 19:15). In their deference to Roman rule, your
religious leaders submitted their dispute against Jesus to Roman
authority (Luke 23:2). The Romans heard their argument and ruled that
Jesus was king of the Jews (John 19:19-22).

   > and he never fulfilled the messianic prophecies,

Are you expecting some sort of blessing from God for reiterating the
same obstinacy and rebellion against truth that nearly annihilated the
Jewish nation in 70AD? It's clear that God punished the Jews for
crucifying the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Messiah.

   > and B)
   > The destruction is 40 years too late,

A perfect example of delayed fulfillment in prophecy is the supposed
"word" to rebuild Jerusalem, originally scheduled to be decreed by
Cyrus (Isa. 44:26-28, 45:13). It didn't happen that way. There was an
80-year delay. Actually, the only pertinent decree issued on this
matter concerned rebuilding the temple (Ezra 6). You are wrong to
believe that prophecy is absolutely inviolable.

For God to delay decisive judgment, exercise mercy and grant the Jews
an extra 40 years to repent does not detract from the divinity of
Jesus, the certainty of history and the ultimate outcome of Daniel's
   prophecy.

   > and the animal sacrifices did not stop in 33,
   > but also almost 40 years later.

Most likely, Jesus was crucified in 30 or 31AD.

   > So the Christian interpretation is WRONG.

The Christian interpretation is TRUE and only understandable within
   the paradigm of realistic hermeneutics.
