They have been getting lots of Radio play on christian radio       stations, and lots of news coverage. Which is what brought my attention       to them. They have been opening for bands like Bleach (Tooth&Nail),       Holland(Tooth&Nail), GS Megaphone(Tooth&Nail), Cool Hand Luke(Floodgate),       Number One Gun(Floodgate), Sanctus Real, and Slingshot 57!              They are awesome musicians, awesome people, and have thier hearts set on       serving Jesus Christ.              I ask you to check out some of their music at http://www.mp3.com/Solafide1              I'm sure they are always looking for ways to expand thier services to       area's outside of S. Illinois and surrounding areas. Their live show       consists of some newer amazing songs not found on the cd, but the cd and       mp3's give a good idea of what they are like.              If you feel that you'd like them to do a youth service, or have them       participate in a concert or festival you are hosting contact:              Phone: 618-357-2838                     Here is a bio clip they put up on their site:              "It's high-energy rock 'n roll," says lead singer/guitarist       Brandon Ross when asked about their sound. "We do what we can to stay       away from labeling ourselves, though. So call us what you want, we're       just playing music." With influences ranging from bands like Bleach and       Switchfoot to Delirious and U2, Solafide's come a long way since their       beginning in Fall of 2000. "We're definitely still maturing musically       and lyrically," Brandon says. Even after the recent release of their       full-length album "Anthem for the Church Camp Junkie" (independent),       the Solafide boys keep pushing forward. "The crowd seems to really like       the music. And that, of course, is very important to us. But we can't       help but look ahead. We've continued to write, and are very excited       with what we've come up with. And as long as we're still able to move       forward as a band, we'll keep playing." With a constantly growing fan       base and a great live show, Solafide is an act you don't want to miss.       "When people leave a Solafide show, we want them to feel uplifted,       encouraged, maybe even have a different perspective on things. We don't       want to just give them something to talk about, but something to think       about, too."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
