   Thanks John. Observe that Roman Catholic Church contains a wide variety of   
   people - from saints to outright bastards, from the simple to the pompous   
   fools like myself.   
      
   As to "theology" I am not necessarily allied with "the liberals". The one   
   individual whom I feel akin to is Pierre Teilhard de Chardin  S.J. who was a   
   great palaeontologist and a personal friend of Huxley. A renegade Jesuit who   
   viewed "man qua man", not man qua Christianity as the objective of   
   salvation. His two publications which influenced me the most were "Le Milieu   
   Divin and The Phenomenon of Man".
