   I have given much thought about what is the essential morality that   
   unites all humans of good faith. If you stranded on an island where   
   the inhabitants had never heard of your religion, which morals would   
   you to find among them, for your and their sake?   
      
   I think that the following cosntitute "essential morality", as long as   
   they are applied to all humans, and I am interested in hearing how   
   religious people from any religion feel about them:   
      
                 ------ Essential Morality ------   
   1. consideration for suffering people anywhere on earth;   
   2. desire for equal and unbiased justice for each and every person;   
   3. aversion of physical and public punishment,   
   4. aversion of cruelty as a public spectacle;   
   5. striving to open minded, investigative, forthcoming world   
   citizenship;   
   6. defence of everyone's freedom to create, change and demonstrate   
   opinions;   
   7. health care without social, sexual, racial or any other   
   discrimination.
