You are becoming unfriendly. I really don't remember any effort -
there might have been - of those JW's to convert me. Maybe the drive
to convert was not all that strong because we felt united on our
pacifist positions. If they tried, it was certainly not ardently or
rudely. I remember philosophical conversations in a friendly tone, of
which I certainly learned much - I did not pick anything up about
heaven or afterlife (of course it might have been brought up - I don't
remember, maybe because I am not interested. And it is forty years ago
now). Pleas understand that I made clear that those things have no
*meaning* to me: I don't say I never heard the *words*.
But this thread is very fast moving away from the original question.
How do you feel about the proposition of an essential morality for
humans within your religion and for those without? This is not meant
as an attack to you, and I dont understand why I am attacked by you.
I think I have learned now that you reject my proposition and that it
is forbidden to try to make life on earth better. I don't think the
JW's I spent day and night with for months would have said the same.
