Klingon Imperial Forums Status Report March 22, 2006

The KIDC's Klingon Imperial Forums are pleased to report that the
rebuild after the August crash has been a success. We continue to
provide a centralized online gathering space for Klingon fandom and its
many special interest groups (SIGs). We have sections for discussion on
such diverse activities as costuming, gaming, poetry and short stories,
language, science and technology, and Klingon culture in general.

   This week's thread topics include:

    - Klingon names
    - Views of the Klingon Empire in the '80s
    - Klingons and Norse religion
    - African-American actors as Klingons
    - The books _Pawns_and_Symbols and _The_Final_Reflection_
    - The "I.K.S. Gorkon" books
    - A "National Review" article on Klingon fandom
    - The game "Star Trek Online"
    - The use of metal model tank treads in costume armor construction
    - A progress update on a board member's fan film

We invite you to visit the Forums at http://www.klingon.org/smboard. The
boards are open on a read-only status so you may browse without having
to register. They are free of any pop-up ads or banner ads, and are
open to any and all with an interest in things Klingon. You must
register in order to post and participate. All that is required is a
User ID name and a valid email address. This address is hidden from
view, and you have the option of preventing other forum members from
   using it to contact you.
