   One of the most misunderstood doctrines in all of Holy Scripture is that which   
   is called " The Great Tribulation."   
      
   We see immediately from the expositions of other's on this subject that right   
   from the outset the word " the " has been added to   
   " great tribulation " which changes it's meaning completely.   
      
   The word " the " is a definite article in English grammar and it's Greek   
   counterpart is not found in the original text of   
   HolyScripture.   
   By adding the word " the " to any exposition of Mt.24:21 now amplify's and   
   sets " great tribulation " into a whole different category   
   of affliction than can be supported by the context of Mt.24. Indeed, " great   
   tribulation " is told us in Mt.24 to be like no other,   
   however, adding this definite article of grammar before the word " great   
   tribulation " is adding to the Word of God.   
   It now becomes " The Great Tribulation " in accord with denominational   
   traditions.
