   Faith and Believing...   
      
   Being these terms derive from a single word " pistis " as found in the New   
   Testament, and being " faith " is not of this world since it   
   is given by the Savior Jesus Christ who is not of this world, after the moment   
   of redemption, Acts13:48, it is a certainty that fallen   
   man has no faith to believe unto salvation resident in himself prior to faith   
   being given him by Savior Jesus, Mt.17:17; Jn.3:6...   
   fallen man is said by God to be " faithless... apistos" Mt.17:17.   
      
   Unless the kind of faith God appreciates is given to fallen man, who is dead   
   in sin, Eph.2:1-3, through a gracious act of mercy on the   
   part of God upon that man's regeneration...   
   ( a circumcision made without hands as wrought by God, and apart from any   
   scheme of acquiring faith by recitals and other good works on   
   the part of fallen man )   
   believing unto salvation is otherwise fully beyond the grasp of fallen man.   
   Ro.3:10ff; 8:7,8; Eph.2:1-3,12. He is dead in sin.   
      
   ( The non-elect are taught they are born with faith and must use it in accord   
   with denominational traditions fanning it into a blaze and do the good work of   
   " accepting Jesus as their Lord " in order to be graced with salvation...   
   children under 12 are exempt   
   as far as fallen Christendom is concerned )   
      
   Contrary to this scheme that divine good resides in fallen man... he is "   
   evil," Mt.7:11, and he is   
   " perverse," Mt.17:17 fully incapable of pleasing God, Ro.8:7,8 by any means   
   let alone by his   
   designer gospel's... God tells us in no uncertain terms that fallen man does   
   not   
   " come to the Light lest his deeds be exposed..." Jn.3:19,20   
   When he does come to the Light it will always be on fallen man's terms, such   
   as with   
   " altar calls " where he is told to put a faith he does not have, Mt.17:17,   
   into the Savior he does not therefore have any   
   faith in.
