   Why do we find Babylon mentioned so   
   prominently throughout the Bible   
   especially in Revelations ?   
   Surely, as far as cities are concerned, Babylon, as   
   a hub of wickedness,   
   is surpassed by other cities cited in   
   Holy Scripture.   
   For example, what city on the face of the earth   
   can be said to have been more wicked   
   than Jerusalem ?   
      
   Beside it consistently killing off of the true witness   
   of God   
   as told us by the Lord's indictment of it in   
   Mt.23:37,   
   it also disposed of the Savior, Christ Jesus...   
   with few exceptions it has always sought to   
   plunge the world into   
   darkness by snuffing out the Light   
   brought to it by the grace of God.   
   In fact, the many indictment's made by Christ   
   in Mt.23   
   against the corrupt religious leader's of His time   
   tells us we have an analogy   
   valid to our time right here and now.   
   It can not be ignored that Mt.23 speaks to   
   2 Tim.4:3,4 and 2 Thes.2:1-12.   
   It can not be ignored that Mt.24 begins by   
   the Savior being recorded as ...   
   " ( He ) went out, and departed from the temple..."   
   this is the same as saying   
   " ...God gave them up...."   
   Ro.1:18 to 2:24   
   Again, precisely similar to   
   Mt.21:43,44; 2 Tim.4:3,4 and 2 Thes.2:1-12.
