|    HOW TO SAVE CALIFORNIA - PAY THE STATE L    |
|    03 Jul 18 16:02:43    |
[continued from previous message]              At 100,000,000 Californians, one for every 500,000 Californians... (perhaps       increase to 400 and 1 for every 250,000(?))]              If we were to have one California State Legislator for every 40,000 people, we       would have a 1,000 person State Assembly, which would be too many Assemblymen       in       my opinion.              If it gets to be too many constituents per either Assemblymember or Senator,       the       solution may be to have a cabinet of 10 men per Legislator, and the Legislator       to       be first among equals, or just first, - with all the cabinetmembers paid, and       regarded, nearly as the Legislator.              To compare, to other States, the number of seats in the lower houses of U.S.       State       Legislatures varies from a high of 400 in New Hampshire to a low of 40 in       Alaska.       The table below lists the 10 states with the highest and lowest populations and       the population per legislator. California has by far the largest population per       district, New Hampshire the lowest:              https://static01.nyt.com/images/2013/12/31/business/31dec-econom       st-bartlett/31dec-economist-bartlett-blog480.png              The following chart from the National Conference of State Legislatures lists       them all:              http://www.ncsl.org/research/about-state-legislatures/2010-const       tuents-per-state-legislative-district.aspx              By comparison, the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C. has 435       members, while the U.S. Senate is 100 Senators for 325,000,000 Americans       nationwide. This is 1 per 747,426, and 1 per 3,250,000, respectively.              For comparison, the French Senate is 348, and the French National Assembly is       547:       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Parliament       The population of France is 65,000,000, (on 248,573 square miles).       This is 1 per 186,781, and 1 per 118,829, respectively.              The comparison, the British House of Commons is 650 Members, and the British       House       of Lords is 805 Lords:       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliament_of_the_United_Kingdom       The population of the U.K is also 65,000,000 (on 93,628 square miles).       This is 1 per 100,000, and 1 per 80,745, respectively.              I'm not suggesting we imitate our European allies, just throwing that       comparison       out there.              The population of California is 40,000,000 (2018 est.), (on 163,696 square       miles).              Most of the 50 State Legislatures in The United States of America, are       deplorably       understaffed and underpaid. The National Conference of State Legislatures       reveals       this clearly in the following webpage:              http://www.ncsl.org/research/about-state-legislatures/full-and-p       rt-time-legislatures.aspx              This is the true reason for the deplorable states of our Union.              If you scroll down and study the map and the pay, you will see how ridiculous       the       domestic governance of the United States is! No one is doing *anything* for       us!       And yet we have the industrial capability to have a glorious country!              These Legislatures are forming the true Constitution of our country, the United       States, with their every statute. The State is responsible for 90% of the law       enforcement and prisoners in each State. And Governance! How can we afford to       have "part time" legislatures without staff members?! Without staff members!       Without State Legislatures, we have no country!              Without State Legislatures, we have no country!              http://www.ncsl.org/research/about-state-legislatures/full-and-p       rt-time-legislatures.aspx              Read it and weep!              http://www.ncsl.org/research/about-state-legislatures/full-and-p       rt-time-legislatures.aspx              Read it and weep!                     Also, we are here to be lead and served, not ruled. Everyone in office should       affirm they are a here to lead and serve, and not rule us. They are a here to       lead       us to the Truth, and serve the Truth, and nothing more nor less. We as       citizens,       and as voters, are here to do the same.              And the state needs to replace socialized impoverishment - prison, with       socialized       enrichment - education,(etc.)              In no particular order:       1. Sanitation - Running Water, Sewage, Trash pickup - in all cities and towns       2. Transportation to a degree       3. Education - Community College, Undergrad, Graduate       4. Menial Food - Corn Grits, Wheat, Rice, & +/Milk (possibly chicken) for       Children       5. Health Care & Dental       6. Guaranteed Jobs at a minimum wage of 65% per capita GDP, cash paid daily.       7. Perhaps limited personal income to 4x-40x the minimum wage, above which all       must be saved for capital (all above $125,000-$1,250,000) with carry       forwards/carry backs. Granted this might be a Federal, rather than a State       issue.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
