   I expect they care a great deal.  Copyright is very important to most people   
   in the publishing industry.  Even if the Independent isn't advertising on   
   their site (I really don't recall advertising on web pages), it's their   
   right to control the way their articles are used, and the very fact that   
   they publish a detailed copyright notice suggests that they _do_ care.  As   
   contributors begin to see some residuals from Internet publishing, they   
   care more and more, too.
