"Wicked" is much more a DEconstruction of Oz than it's a non-Baum Oz
novel, and I didn't like it much either.

I DID like "Tin Man", to my great surprise. At first it seemed
completely contrary to Oz, but the more I watched it the more I realized
that they had people writing the script who really DID know Oz and were
thinking about it when they wrote "Tin Man"; one VERY nice touch was
when we see the original Dorothy Gale for a few moments, she is wearing
SILVER Shoes, not the movie's Ruby Slippers.
