   Mostlly my point was that some opinions are more important than others.   
   Even if a majority thinks that a special prayer to St X can help you win   
   the football pool, and you throw out those opinions as not being about the   
   'real' RC religion -- you can't throw out the Pope's opinion about real RC   
   along with them.   
      
   Looking at it one way, you could more nearly say the Pope's opinion defines   
   or constitutes 'real' RC.
