The Charles Williams Society is holding its next conference from
Friday June 18th to Sunday June 20th 2004, at the Royal Foundation of St.
Katharine in east London. Speakers are to include Grevel Lindop, the poet,
currently working on a biography of Williams; Dr. Suzanne Bray of Lille,
France ( a member of this Group); and Dr. Brian Horne on Williams and
Dorothy Sayers as letter-writers. It is hoped also to look at some
unpublished letters of Williams, and to have a musical interlude with
settings of Williams's words (e.g. from the Masques). There may be time for
   more informal discussion or seminars.

The Conference is open to all, but obviously members of the Society
and their guests have priority when applying for places. Application forms
can be had (as soon as they have been printed!) from Dr. Horne at
                   Flat 8
                   65 Cadogan Gardens
                   London SW3 2RA
                   United Kingdom.

Cost for residence will be œ100 (including accommodation and meals from
supper on Friday to tea on Sunday); most rooms are single en-suite. Day
visitors are also welcome; the cost of meals for thse has yet to be
   confirmed.
           Anyone interested?
           Richard Sturch.
