XPost: alt.books.cs-lewis, rec.arts.books.tolkien       From: joseph@nospam.com              "Christopher Kreuzer"       > For the benefit of those who've killfiled you (*), I'm reposting this,       > just to show that you can say some sensible things. Though I did take       > care to snip the bits that might annoy some people... :-)              I think that in large part, this represents a problem that many in this NG       share. I looked back over that posting and I really can't find anything       objectionable in that particular posting, unless it's an opinion that some       might disagree with. If folks find opinions objectionable, simply because       they are at odds with their own, then I'd suggest that they have a problem       that they might want to work though somehow.              Anybody who's killfile'd me, is only getting the bits of my opinion that       *you* feel are worthy of passing your censorship. On the other hand, if       they've killfile'd me then they deserve what they are missing.              > just to show that you can say some sensible things.              Across the wide range of newsgroups in which I participate, individuals will       generally find that my demeanor toward them will be a reflection of their       own demeanor toward me. (Strictly speaking, I concede that I'd be a better       person if I didn't let others' behavior influence my own, but that's just       who I am. Maybe one day I'll be big enough to rise above it all...)              - Joseph              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
