   The Healing of a Blind Man at Bethsaida   
      
   22 (Mt 11:21; Mk 6:45) He came to Bethsaida. And they brought a blind man   
   to Him and entreated Him to touch him.   
   23 (Mk 7:33; 5:23) He took the blind man by the hand   
   and led him out of the town. When He had spit on his eyes   
   and put His hands on him, He asked him, "Do you see anything?"   
   24 He looked up and said, "I see men as trees, walking."   
   25 Then again He put His hands on his eyes and made him look up.   
   And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.   
   26 (Mt 8:4) He sent him home away to his house, saying,   
   "Neither go into the town, nor tell it to anyone in the town."   
      
   [22] And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and   
   besought him to touch him.   
   [23] And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and   
   when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he   
   saw ought.   
   [24] And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.   
   [25] After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up:

   27 (Lk 9:18-20) Jesus and His disciples went out into the towns   
   of Caesarea Philippi. On the way He asked His disciples,   
   "Who do men say that I am?"   
   28 (Mal 4:5; Mt 14:2) They answered, "John the Baptist, but some say,   
   Elijah; and others, one of the prophets."   
   29 (Jn 6:69; 11:27) He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"   
   Peter answered Him, "You are the Christ."   
   30 (Mt 16:20; Lk 9:21) He warned them that they should tell no one about Him.

   Philippi, He asked His disciples, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"   
   14 (Mt 14:2; Mk 6:15) They said, "Some say that You are John the Baptist,   
   others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."   
   15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"   
   16 (Ps 42:2; Jn 11:27) Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ,   
   the Son of the living God."   
   17 (Gal 1:16; Jn 1:42; 21:15-17) Jesus answered him,   
   "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for flesh and blood   
   has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.   
   18 (Jn 1:42; Job 38:17) And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock   
   I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.   
   19 (Mt 18:18; Isa 22:22; Jn 20:23) I will give you the keys of the kingdom   
   of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven,   
   and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

   that He was Jesus the Christ.   
      
   [13] When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his   
   disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?   
   [14] And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias;   
   and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.   
   [15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?   
   [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the   
   living God.   
   [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:

   20 (Jn 1:49; 11:27) He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"   
   Peter answered, "The Christ of God."

   must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders   
   and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed,   
   and after three days rise again.   
   32 (Jn 16:25; 16:29) He said this openly. And Peter took Him   
   and began to rebuke Him.   
   33 (Mt 4:10; Php 3:19) But when He had turned around   
   and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying,   
   "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God,   
   but the things of men."   
   34 (Mt 10:38) When He had called the people to Him, with His disciples,   
   He said to them, "If any man would come after Me,   
   let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.   
   35 (Mt 10:39; Lk 17:33) For whoever would save his life will lose it.   
   But whoever would lose his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.   
   36 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world   
   and loses his own soul?
