   It was all part of recorded history. So is the Bible. Without Faith if God it   
   is just as meaningless to those that seek to define it from the minds of   
   mortal men.   
      
   Gods word clearly states do not forbid speaking in tongues.   
      
   The anonymous person you replied to denies the word of the Lord, just as much   
   as does James the JW.   
   I hate to say that, but there is no love, as in the gift of love operating in   
   his mind and or heart, towards God, His word, and those around him.   
      
   I am sorry to hear that you too do not believe the words of Jesus, the real   
   Christ, who spoke of these things, taught them, prayed that the power, gifts   
   and knowledge with wisdom would be upon all who believe in Him.   
      
   Jesus, who dwelt as a human, lived as a man being tempted in all manner such   
   as we are knew from personal experience just how much we needed these things   
   in our lives to uplift us, comfort us, strengthen us, and how we can help   
   those around us. He also is ever before the throne of God in our behalf   
   advocating for us on our behalf. He was fully aware of the religious folk   
   surrounding him that opposed him day and night, in fact it was so harsh that   
   the real priests of God had to seek him behind the scenes so that the others   
   would not know and condemn them just like they did Jesus.   
      
   Those priests and other high religious mucky mucks were so bold and fixed in   
   their way of life that they even had the audacity to say that Jesus did these   
   things by the power of Satan, not the Holy Spirit, and even claiming that   
   what he did was not biblical in spite of the facts written in the OT. Satan   
   has always used the religious to back up his thoughts and present them to   
   those that are weak in faith, or have no knowledge of Him or His Heavenly   
   Father.   
      
   So it was and so it is in this day.   
      
   Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you, personally, like one on   
   one.   
   Even though scripture has been written He said, My People perish for lack of   
   knowledge. You can read all about the evidences of that in the book of acts.
