   The Doctor to All
   Day 342 of My 5th Bible Study Journey Pa
   08 Dec 25 17:54:50

   [continued from previous message]

   [19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness,
   to work all uncleanness with greediness.
   [20] But ye have not so learned Christ;
   [21] If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the
   truth is in Jesus:
   [22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which
   is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
   [23] And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
   [24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
   righteousness and true holiness.

   Rules for the New Life

   25 (Col 3:9; Zec 8:16; Ro 12:5) Therefore, putting away lying, let every man
   speak truthfully with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
   26 (Ps 37:8; 4:4) Be angry but do not sin.
   Do not let the sun go down on your anger.
   27 (Jas 4:7) Do not give place to the devil.
   28 (Ex 20:15; 1Th 4:11-12) Let him who steals steal no more. Instead,
   let him labour, working with his hands things which are good,
   that he may have something to share with him who is in need.
   29 (Col 4:6) Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth,
   but only that which is good for building up, that it may give grace
   to the listeners.
   30 (1Th 5:19; Isa 63:10; Ro 8:23) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,
   in whom you are sealed for the day of redemption.
   31 (Col 3:8; Ecc 7:9; Col 3:19) Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outbursts,
   and blasphemies, with all malice, be taken away from you.
   32 (2Co 2:10; Col 3:12-13; Mt 6:12) And be kind one to another,
   tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ
   also forgave you.

   [25] Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour:
   for we are members one of another.
   [26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
   [27] Neither give place to the devil.
   [28] Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working
   with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that
   needeth.
   [29] Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which
   is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
   [30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the
   day of redemption.
   [31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil
   speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
   [32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
   even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

   Ephesians 5

   1 (Eph 4:32; Mt 5:48) Therefore be imitators of God as beloved children.
   2 (Jn 13:34; Col 3:14) Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself
   for us as a fragrant offering and a sacrifice to God.
   3 (Col 3:5; 1Co 6:18; Eph 5:5) And do not let sexual immorality, or any
   impurity, or greed be named among you, as these are not proper among saints.
   4 (Eph 4:29; Ro 1:28) Let there be no filthiness, nor foolish talking,
   nor coarse joking, which are not fitting. Instead, give thanks.
   5 (Col 3:5; Gal 5:21) For this you know, that no sexually immoral
   or impure person, or one who is greedy, who is an idolater,
   has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

   [1] Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
   [2] And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself
   for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
   [3] But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be
   once named among you, as becometh saints;
   [4] Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not
   convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
   [5] For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous
   man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and
   of God.

   Walk as Children of Light

   6 (Ro 1:18; Col 2:8) Let no one deceive you with empty words,
   for because of these things
   the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.
   7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.
   8 (Lk 16:8; Jn 12:36) For you were formerly darkness,
   but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light-
   9 (Ro 15:14) for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness
   and righteousness and truth-
   10 (1Th 5:21) proving what is pleasing to the Lord.
   11 (Ro 13:12; 1Ti 5:20) And do not have fellowship
   with the unfruitful works of darkness; instead, expose them.
   12 (Eph 5:3) For it is shameful even to speak of those things
   which are done by them in secret.
   13 (Jn 3:20-21) But all things are exposed when they are revealed
   by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.
   14 (Isa 60:1; 26:19) Therefore He says:
   "Awake, you who sleep,
   arise from the dead,
   and Christ will give you light."

   [6] Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things
   cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
   [7] Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
   [8] For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk
   as children of light:
   [9] (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
   truth;)
   [10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
   [11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but
   rather reprove them.
   [12] For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them
   in secret.
   [13] But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for
   whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
   [14] Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead,
   and Christ shall give thee light.

   Walk as Children of Light

   15 (Col 4:5) See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise men,
   16 (Eph 6:13; Col 4:5) making the most of the time because the days are evil.
   17 (Ro 12:2; Col 1:9) Therefore do not be unwise, but understand
   what the will of the Lord is.
   18 (Pr 20:1; 1Co 5:11; Lk 1:15) Do not be drunk with wine, for that is
   reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit.
   19 (Col 3:16; Ac 16:25; 1Co 14:26) Speak to one another in psalms, hymns,
   and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
   20 (Col 3:17; Ps 34:1; Eph 5:4) Give thanks always for all things to God
   the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
   21 (Php 2:3; Eph 5:22) being submissive to one another in the fear of God.

   [15] See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
   [16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
   [17] Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord
   is.
   [18] And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
   Spirit;
   [19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
   and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
   [20] Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name
   of our Lord Jesus Christ;
   [21] Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

   Wives and Husbands

   22 (Ge 3:16; 1Co 14:34) Wives, be submissive to your own husbands
   as unto the Lord.
   23 (Eph 1:22-23; Col 1:18) For the husband is the head of the wife,
   just as Christ is the head and Savior of the church, which is His body.
   24 (Col 3:20; 3:22) But as the church submits to Christ,
   so also let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
   25 (Eph 5:28; Col 3:19) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ
   also loved the church and gave Himself for it,
   26 (Ac 22:16; 1Co 6:11) that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing
   of water by the word,
   27 (2Co 11:2; Col 1:22; Eph 1:4) and that He might present to Himself
