Forgive me for chopping the post, but I suppose it will save your voice 
synth/braille "whack-a-mole" the excercise.  The article mentioned a 
headphone jack on an ATM, which I had never heard of, but that's the extent 
of ignorance. 

For a prof, couldn't they port in their own laptop to this podium system? I 
know that you just forwarded the post and have no first hand knowledge of 
the setup, but I'm looking for some enlightenment.
