I live on the northern edge of "the South."  They often send the salt
trucks out too early, to salt before the snow is even falling (which does
not work) then later complain that they need more money to buy salt.

They do usually get the plows out while it is snowing, though, but there
has been a time or two where it was snowing so hard that I think they give
up and wait until it is over.

Glad you finally got some snow.
