 TID: Mystic BBS 1.12 A47 TZUTC: -0400 MSGID: 1:120/616 daa1d190 And, no, I am not talking about Sleepy Joe for this. My wife is in the medical profession and we often attend seminars together. We recently went to one on how to care for patients with dementia. One of the things they went over was how to identify when someone has dementia, so they gave us a "cue card" that contained a list of things to look for. + Poor impulse control - does private things in public and is easily irritated. + Poor immediate recall of info - forgets for you said, repeatedly asks or shares without recalling having done so, believes you are lying. + Loss of short term memory - doesn't remember things, doesn't follow through, unable to give accurate info. + Word finding problems - is vague, uses the wrong words, gets off-target. + Confabulation - makes up ingo, unaware of inconsistencies, argues. And the list goes on. Does this remind you of any other group of people? I think we have a new name for these people: Dementors ... A good marriage outlasts the first box of dental floss. ___ MultiMail/Linux v0.52 --- Mystic BBS/QWK v1.12 A47 2021/12/25 (Windows/32) * Origin: cold fusion - cfbbs.net - grand rapids, mi (1:120/616) SEEN-BY: 1/19 16/0 19/37 103/705 104/119 105/81 106/201 114/10 120/616 SEEN-BY: 123/130 124/5016 128/187 129/14 142/104 153/757 7715 154/10 SEEN-BY: 154/30 50 110 700 203/0 218/700 220/20 30 90 221/0 1 6 226/18 SEEN-BY: 226/30 44 50 227/114 229/110 114 206 310 317 426 428 470 SEEN-BY: 229/700 705 240/1120 5832 263/1 266/512 280/464 5003 5006 SEEN-BY: 291/111 292/854 8125 301/1 310/31 320/119 219 319 2119 322/757 SEEN-BY: 322/762 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 423/81 120 460/58 467/888 SEEN-BY: 633/280 712/848 770/1 902/26 2320/105 3634/12 5020/400 5075/35 PATH: 120/616 154/10 280/464 221/1 320/219 229/426 |
