Hi, although my version of SA is legit I had the same problem, i.e
the installed part of the game would not see the disc when I tried to
play. I eventually discovered that I must insert the disc prior to
playing, every time I want to play. Even after you have played a
session, left the disc in the drive and then decide to play again 20
mins later, you will still have to re-insert the disc.
I'm not sure what causes it, maybe something to do with the fact I
   have auto-insert turned off.
