No it isn't. XP is not built upon MS-DOS, so with only XP installed
there is no option to boot to DOS. 9x/ME depends on an underlying DOS,
so with them it is possible to boot directly into MS-DOS 7 or 8.

XP does not come with DOS 6, or any other version of DOS. I suspect
the OP has a PC with XP preinstalled on an NTFS partition which fills
the whole drive. If he installed it himself over an earlier O/S and
chose to preserve it, then he would know that he could dual-boot.

Certainly it's possible to set up a multi-boot machine, but first it
is necessary to obtain the other operating system(s), and plan and
   format the partitions accordingly.

Your information is correct, but it does not contradict what I said,
   and your attitude stinks.
