I'm trying to       > Complete Mirror an Ubuntu install on a drive into a newer, bigger drive).              Er... that seems to be a question for alt.os.linux, but what I did (fairly       recently) was:       - set up the new partition from the old install       - boot to a livecd       - copy everything from old to new using mc       - edit lilo.conf to reflect the new config       - "cp /mnt/hdd3/etc/lilo.conf /etc"       - "lilo"       - reboot into my copied install to check that everything was kosher              I'm sure that's not the right way to do it, but this way I didn't have to       worry about the two partitions being different sizes.              --       Behind every great man is an amazed mother-in-law.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
