   If this is the one you are asking about a FOSS alternative to, near the   
   end of my thread (right next to this thread - it's titled "REQ: a very   
   special version....."), buried near the end of the messages, is Auric and   
   I discussing different ways to back up our Linux drives. He likes to re-   
   make the file system, and use Copy, while I might try to use "dd" to copy   
   the drive. These are only two of many options for system backup in a   
   LUNIX environment.
