   1Password's free program for journalists, touted as a way of helping improve   
   security for press frequently targeted by attacks, abruptly this April month.   
   After offering a free account to press for years and becoming a favorite among   
   journalists, current press accounts were frozen until upgraded to paid business   
   accounts, leaving them unable to change, add, or autofill their passwords.   
   Press accounts impacted by this now must copy and paste passwords into websites   
   or pay to upgrade, and cannot securely share access to credentials among   
   colleagues. This exposes them to increase risk unless they pay.   
   While 1Password offers free individual accounts, they lack many key security   
   features that press rely to work collaboratively and manage risks.
