   My thoughts are that, it all depends on your thread model I refuse myself as   
   my main profile "rek2" to isolate even more from society(friends family   
   etc) when matrix and fediverse even not perfect is def better than any   
   other of evil ones, is free software and does the job for my thread   
   model as "rek2" maybe I am already using other super hight thread model   
   services   
   and nobody knows I been using i2p for 15 years and still nobody even   
   close friends, nor tech, nor hackers, know my profile there.   
   If your thread model is hight then yes I agree, but then also if you have a   
   thread model that hight then you should have 5+ differente personas   
   independent of each other and networks and have profiles with a low thread.   
      
   I agree with privacy but I agree more in using free software and   
   decentralization, even if some silly metadata leaks, I do not have a   
   snowden alike thread, as like an investigation reporter may have, a   
   hacktivist, a spy, or such, at least not as "rek2" using my regular network.   
      
   I am happy with usenet,decentralization,federation,free software, this   
   is enought for me, but I will never stop anyone from using what their   
   thread model dictates they should use for their personal opsec, and yet   
   again, there is a reason maintining diff profiles and making deleting   
   profiles is an art and part of hacking on itself, not many people knows   
   how to keep their different personas separated at all levels even the   
   way you write.   
      
   In conclusion: I as rek2 im very willing always to try cool new privacy   
   tools (and I do) but then is like 5-1O people and myself and isolated   
   from the people i love and hang out with, so unless matrix actually   
   "willinly" allows for invasion of privacy as like discord, instagram and   
   the likes I am ok with that for now.
