As far as I know, HIV - AIDS cannot be transmitted by eating anything
containing the virus because stomach acid kills it.
I suppose someone had sex with infected apes? Yeah, right!
Apes are genetically close enough to humans to be vulnerable to the same
infectious diseases. As a prelude to deliberately infecting humans, it could
have been spread among apes to test the contagousness and consequences of
the disease.
