Obviously this is true. So then the question becomes why don't they do

Logic falls apart. The existence of such a powerful force is a DIRECT
threat to the credibility of those who would rule the world. Hence IS
something to worry about! Also explains, given the apparent desire to
any aliens to not openly appear, the massive debunking effort to
convince the public that they don't exist and to intimidate anyone
saying they do into shutting up by whatever means it takes.
