   I think this paragraph sums up my main beef with the US pretty well. I could   
   probably live reasonably comfortably with the US as the dominant power if I   
   felt those in power were honourable people of good intent. The current   
   regime of self-serving hypocrisy, lies, corruption and plain corporate   
   extortion just don't stack up as acceptable alternatives.
