   My point wasn't limited to Iraq, John, but I believe you're right on Iraq as   
   well. I remember I evoked in January the possibility for a possible US   
   involvement in Iraq to end up as a fiasco, under extremist chiite terrorist   
   attacks. Like in Lebanon and in Somalia, the US would withdraw after a   
   particularly bloody attack against them. Just imagine such an attack takes   
   place a few weeks before the 2004 elections...   
      
   Once again, this is pure speculation. Future may show I mistook and I hope   
   it will... but for the time being, I see more reasons to be as pessimistic   
   as I am, than to share Jigsaw's optimism on world peace (I'd almost believe   
   he just watched "Miss Congeniality").
