   The execution of Bobby Swisher, scheduled for 9 pm tonight, was postponed   
   for three weeks by Governor Mark Warner late this afternoon.    In his   
   decision, the Governor said he was going to issue a one time three week   
   postponement so as to give attorneys for the condemned inmate to have a   
   hearing before the Virginia Supreme Court on the matter of whether jury   
   sentencing instructions at trial were suitable, given subsequent rulings by   
   the court.   
      
   The Governor indicated that if the Virginia Supreme Court issues a ruling   
   that is adverse to Swisher,  he does not plan to intervene again.
