We have (had) many children of Jehovah Witnesses at our       school. In spite of their refusal to say the pledge of allegiance to       the United States, salute the U.S. flag, or participate in other       patriotic ceremonies, these kids are almost invariably polite, well-       behaved, well dressed, well spoken, hard working, and remarkably       honest. Jehovah Witnesses are usually honor students and, hence,       could not possibly come from chaotic and unloving families. I've       spoken with some of their parents -- they seem well-informed, and       they have better than average parenting skills. The above qualities       are more than commensurate for their (what appear to me as)       farfetched religious beliefs and refusal to engage/cooperate in       social events, extra-curricular activities, and competitive athletics.                            _______________________________________________       Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com       The most personalized portal on the Web!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
