XPost: alt.activism, alt.politics.economics, alt.politics.usa       XPost: alt.tv.pol-incorrect, alt.politics.radical-left       From: weberm@polaris.net              Further evidence that the soldiers of Krugman's Army do not view       progressive politicians as their allies comes from Houston, where video       has emerged showing Gareth Morgans, a staffer to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee,       getting shouted down. CNSNews.com has both the video and these quotes:               "She . . . wants you to know that her team and the Progressive        Congressional Caucus are here to stand with the people, to        fight with the people and to get these jobs back," a protester        announced before he introduced Morgans.               Morgans said he was there because Shelia [sic] Jackson Lee        couldn't attend, but that attendees are "always in all of        our thoughts", he was then shouted down by others at the        gathering saying that "this is not a political advertisement".              Then Morgans gets shouted down, and a fat, long-haired, bearded guy grabs       the microphone to announce: "This is not a movement! This is not a       protest! This is not a left-right issue! This is an occupation!" And       PajamasMedia.com has another video, from Occupy L.A.:               One of the speakers said the solution is nonviolent movement.        No, my friend. I'll give you two examples: French Revolution,        and Indian so-called Revolution.               Gandhi, Gandhi today is, with respect to all of you, Gandhi        today is a tumor that the ruling class is using constantly to        mislead us. French Revolution made fundamental transformation.        But it was bloody.               India, the result of Gandhi, is 600 million people living in        maximum poverty.               So, ultimately, the bourgeoisie won't go without violent means.        Revolution! Yes, revolution that is led by the working class.        Long live revolution!               Long live socialism!              Remember when the same people now cheering on this self-described       revolutionary army of occupation were having fainting spells over       crosshairs on maps and other supposedly violent, militaristic rhetoric       from Tea Party conservatives?                     --       "If Barack Obama isn't careful, he will become the Jimmy Carter of the       21st century."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
