   Brigham Golden a doctoral candidate from Columbia University was arrested   
   Tuesday by Indonesian authorities in the Indonesia colony of Papua after   
   they learnt Brigham Golden may have attended a local tribal meeting or   
   others calling for self determination.   
      
   His colleague said Golden was arrested for failing to report to the local   
   police upon his arrival Sunday, reported the Kompas online news service.   
     Officers in charge were not available for comments.   
      
   The Indonesian government is very restricted against international visits to   
   the most remote province, a island part of the Australian land mass where   
   the indigenous population has refused to become part of the Asian nation of   
   Indonesia. Seen by Jakarta as a scene of rebellion for nearly 30 years   
   since the colony was taken over by Jakarta from the Dutch in the 1960s.   
      
   Earlier in June, the Papua immigration office deported four Russians and a   
   Japanese for illegally working in a local airline company
