   If I actually believed it would improve safety any, I would be absolutely   
   delighted to wait up for it.  But I cannot see how it does anything other   
   than infuriate passengers (and make them more likely to do something unsafe).   
      
   I've basically given up flying anywhere with camera gear.  The TSA has   
   turned hand inspection of film magazines and cans of cine film into an   
   impossible task.  I ship everything ahead of my FedEx, or I take the train.
