   Effective December 31, 2003, permanent residents (incl. children) of Canada   
   must hold the new Canadian Permanent Resident card (PR card) for travel to   
   Canada.  The PR card will replace Form IMM 1000 (Record of Landing Form),   
   which will no longer be accepted as of this date.   
      
   Permanent residents returning to Canada without a valid PR card as of   
   December 31, 2003, will not be permitted to board and will be required to   
   contact the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate to obtain a limited-use   
   travel document to re-enter Canada.
